I moved to North Ogden as a teenager, but I visited North Ogden often to see my grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins. My husband Stan and I moved back to North Ogden in 2001 after he retired from the Air Force. Our family lived in some wonderful places but none with mountains and trails so close. I appreciate the interest you as neighbors show for our community and I wanted to take part in helping to preserve its beauty.

I am a resident of North Ogden and I live in Lakeview Heights with my husband and two children. When I was approached about the development of the proposed Valley View Trails Park - Valley View Nature Preserve - Frog Rock Area (the name hasn't really been determined yet) I thought it was the perfect starting point for me, because I wanted to be involved in the planning and development of our community's recreation areas. My family and I like to walk and explore and we hope that someday soon, a great deal of our existing trails will not only be linked together, but linked to neighboring trail systems and to larger trails like Shoreline. I believe trails are a tremendous asset to any community, promoting healthy lifestyles, increasing property values and keeping nature near at hand.

Mike enjoys chasing the snowline up the North Skyline Trail in the Spring, mountain biking the Bonneville Shoreline Trails in the area as well as riding the East side of Mt Ogden, backpacking throughout Utah, and Arizona, bagging peaks, and running on local trails. He's lived in North Ogden since 2004, having moved here for the quality community, and proximity to the mountains and area trails.
